Thank you to all who generously donated new or used coats for the coat drive organized by St. Paul Pastoral Council with the support of the Knights of Columbus and St. Paul School this past weekend. Over 250 coats were collected on and leading up to January 23. This was a wonderful response to the coat drive and truly supported those in our community who are in need.
It’s been quite an exciting week! Our 7th and 8th grade students have been working hard on their mid-term exams and we are in the “make-up week” for Star Testing in Language Arts and Mathematics. I’m sure that the students will all be relieved when this week is over.
“Fully vaccinated” status for COVID-19 for ages 12 and older has been updated by both the CDC and the NJ Department of Health this week to include both the primary vaccine dose and a booster dose. Boosters have NOT been recommended yet to those 11 and younger.
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., our student council president, David Holland, spoke to the student body about the works of Dr. King and the importance of remembering him on this holiday. Jimmy Teti read a prayer honoring Dr. King’s memory.
St. Paul Parish is hosting a coat drive on the weekend of January 22nd-January 23rd. St. Paul School would like to help out, we will collect coats from Tuesday, January 18th through Friday, January 21st. Please check your closets for any new or gently used coats you may have to donate!
I hope that you enjoyed the Christmas break. On January 3rd, we received some wonderful news! After completing our Cognia accreditation this fall, we also had to complete a Middle States Association Mid-Term report. We were notified that St. Paul School was accredited until December 1, 2025! I would like to thank all of our teachers, but especially Ms. Meghan Dwyer, who led this committee and ensured our success.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a nice Christmas break. Many of the teachers have been working remotely, but there are also a handful of us who are in the building every day. Ms. Palumbo has worked very hard to update the current COVID-19 guidelines. Please click the button below. I know that this document is long, but please take the time to read it as I think it is very informative. Anything highlighted in “blue” is an update. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Palumbo.
Just a reminder that St. Paul School will be closed for in-person learning from Monday, January 3rd- Friday, January 7th. All students should follow their teacher’s instructions for remote learning each day.
