Thank you for attending the Back-to-School Nights that were held last Thursday, Friday, and Monday. I hope that you found them to be informative and that they gave you some insight as to what your children will be learning this year. While the students were at home on Friday, the teachers had their Spirituality Day on the Jersey Shore! We were outdoors for a workshop presented by our very own Kait Mayer. Our focus was on self-care – for teachers and for students. We ended with a mass on the banks of the Shrewsbury River. It was a glorious day that was well worth the hour drive (two for Mrs. Rooney).
As promised we've been watching recess and it has been going well. Starting next week we will allow grade level homerooms to play together at recess. Please remember that these types of things are subject to change.
Although we're disappointed to not be able to offer Back To School Nights in-person this year, I know our faculty is excited to meet with you! Below, please find a video message to begin your Back To School Night experience. After viewing the Virtual Parents' Meeting, please attend the Zoom meeting or Google Meet using the information sent out by your child's teacher.
Back to School Nights are being held Wednesday and Thursday evenings this week. Upper School Math teachers will present next Monday. All homeroom teachers have sent home links to the meetings. Please know that we would rather see you in person, but we feel that virtual presentations are the safest in this environment.
Last weekend marked an historic event in the history of our country. Attached please find a link to an article that shows how St. Paul Church, and the Knights of Columbus chose to honor those who were lost.
It certainly was quite an opening to school last week. Never did I imagine that I would have to cancel school before Labor Day. I know that the Princeton area was flooded, and I hope that if you were affected by the storm that your losses were manageable.
Yesterday was a great start to the school year. It is wonderful to have the students back in the classrooms. We are grateful to have most of our busses back. Once we get the routines of morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal down, it will run smoothly. The rain yesterday didn’t help!
