I hope that you enjoyed your break and that remote learning is going well. We look forward to next Monday.
Please read the information found below from our school nurse, Ms. Palumbo.
As the CDC updates guidance to the country as a whole, each state adapts that guidance using many decision points including case rates. Thank you for letting us know of your travel plans, those who traveled, over break. A reminder if travel extended beyond NJ, PA, NY, CT and DE, the travel quarantine NJ rule is to quarantine for 10 days or to quarantine for 7 days with a test after day 5 and always during a pandemic to monitor for symptoms. If you have traveled and your children have been tested, please forward a copy of the test result prior to returning to school to our nurse via email:
[email protected]
As vaccination rates increase country and state wide, rules around quarantine related to exposure also have been updated. NO child in our school has been vaccinated. Nothing has changed regarding quarantine after “close contact to a known positive case.” Anyone in our school with known close contact to a positive case must report this to our school nurse. Additional reporting to any individual classrooms or the entire school is then done as needed. All messages that are sent to the entire school are posted on the SPS website.
Reach out with any concerns to our nurse at
[email protected]. If you would like a call back, please include your best contact number.
