We have had a single positive COVID case reported in 4th grade on Monday afternoon. All students’ families in this student’s class were notified, are home on quarantine as of Monday afternoon, are getting tested for COVID and are following current Dept. of Health and state guidelines. If they have no symptoms and have a negative test result that is sent to our nurse, they may return to school on Friday, October 29th.
We continue to follow all COVID mitigation measures in our building and appreciate parents making smart choices to keep students home who have symptoms of illness and if those symptoms are compatible with COVID, get them tested before returning to school. Please continue to reach out to our school nurse with any questions. As your children get vaccinated it is very important to send a copy of their CDC card to the nurse. The guidelines for quarantine are different for vaccinated and unvaccinated people. If no card is received, a student is considered unvaccinated.
