A well-deserved break for all is finally here! I thank you all for your kindness and support through this extraordinary year. The SPS community continues to work together to make this year a success.
Holy Week has been celebrated in so many ways at St. Paul School. Our 2
nd and 1
st graders attended liturgy with Fr. Carlo yesterday. It could not have been nicer!
Our 6
th graders, under the guidance of Mrs. Rooney, have been working hard to produce a slide show depicting the Stations of the Cross. For our new families, it is a tradition for the 6
th graders to perform a “Mime” Stations of the Cross, which they present for the whole school. Unfortunately, we could not do that this year. We are still working on being able to get it to you. Stay tuned.
Today, our Student Council, under the guidance of Mrs. Schwimmer, led a Holy Thursday prayer service for our students. My thanks to Mrs. Schwimmer and to Father Carlo for participating.
Our hallways have been filled with beautiful art, decorations, and reflections on this Easter season. I thank all of our teachers for their hard work and dedication to our students. Attached you will find a You Tube link for a video created by Mrs. Kait Mayer. My thanks to her for the last-minute request.

Congratulations to Mrs. Mary Griffin (7
th and 8
th grade science teacher), who has completed her training to become a STEM Certified Teacher from the National Institute of STEM Education (NISE)!
Whatever your plans are for the Easter Break, please keep in mind the sacrifices that Jesus made for us and remember to take time out to be thankful.
God Bless,

From the nurse:
A forever thank you for everyone’s work toward all that is needed each and every day to keep our school moving forward in a safe and healthful way during the pandemic. Thank you to those that let us know about travel plans and especially any that require post break quarantine so teachers can safely plan for our students uninterrupted education. We wish you safe and joyful travels, and for many, the first time to connect and see each other in a year. Continue to use all recommended mitigation measures for both vaccinated and not yet vaccinated get togethers. For your reference the most recently posted NJ state travel guidelines and the CDC guidelines for quarantine are included here:
NJ currently has the highest reported transmission rate of COVID in the country and the next surge is expected the second week of April. This is news we need to use to continue to make choices that continue to keep us all safe. Please email me over the break, April 2-11, and our post break scheduled full remote teaching week, April 12-16, with any health updates that our school needs to be aware of for the ongoing safety of our entire community.
Easter Blessings,
Tish Palumbo RN MSN
